These are the remaining photos that i took on my belated birthday dinner with the closest girls that one could ever have. We always go to the same old restaurants like swensens, pizza hut, pastamania etc because there's not much variety in terms of good halal restaurants. This year, i wanted to try something different so i requested a good indian restaurant since the only place i get indian food is from the hawker centre or al-ameen.
We went to Gayatri Restaurant which is located near Farrer Park mrt station and thank god i went there with my girl, Roseanne (we met the other 2 at the restaurant) because that place was packed with the foreign indian people! Let me clarify this : i'm not racist but these foreign indians will stare at teenage girls/women and they stare really hard and long that it really creeps me out all the time. There was an incident last 2 years when i was just dressed in casual 3/4 pants and a plain old tshirt and just out at night (around 8pm) to buy some stuff near my house like any normal day and then this guy kept following me and then when i wanted to cross the road, he came right beside me and tried to get my number etc.I repeatedly said no and HE STILL KEPT FOLLOWING ME!! I wasn't even wearing make-up and then, when we made our way to the restaurant, all eyes were on both of us -_-
It was really intimidating and lets just say both of us linked our arms together and just walk as fast we could..phew..
Anyways, the restaurant was quite packed and i think its reasonable to say that service wasn't that great due to the crowd. We did made reservations so we had a table at a corner and it was directly beneath the air-conditioner. Instead of plates, you will get a plastic tray with a banana leaf on top. Actually, i was a little surprised and disappointed because i thought we would be served with a metal plate but oh well, it was my 1st time being there. I ordered the nasi briyani with mutton and another bit of info about me is that I LOVE YOGHURT GRAVY! I always make sure that when i'm eating nasi briyani, i must have that. I thought they were going to serve it in the metal bowl but actually, the waiter would just scoop it out of a huge bowl and just dump in on your tray..and yes, i'm not really happy with that kind of food presentation but it was suppose to be a happy occasion so i just kept my mouth shut. Each table had this service monitor thing and you just pressed the button and the waiter would come to your beck and call but ours wasn't working as when i pressed, i had to wait 20mins for someone to notice me and even then, i had to raise my hand to get the attention of the waiter. Oh btw, i paid $12 for 2 tempura prawns -_- ..do not even ask! Yes, only 2 bloody prawns.
The girls surprised me with a cake and it was fabulous! After dinner, we headed to Mustafa Centre and the stuff there is seriously dirt-cheap! Of course, there were more foreign indian people there but there's 4 of us so i don't even care.

I really can't believe that i've turned 21 years old yet i still remember the day that i met these girls and it felt like eons ago. Time do really fly.
